The air just got purer
Recently, the air handling units in the Conference Centre’s largest accommodation block, Mulberry Court (64 bedrooms), have been upgraded to offer a higher level of air purity. The new F9 filters can catch fine dust (with particle size as small as 1 µm) and will filter pollen, spores, bacteria and germs on host particles. This is the same as offered in the other rooms, only this filter class does so to an efficiency of approximately 85%.
This will come as good news to people who suffer with severe allergies and respiratory problems, since it significantly reduces the amount of airborne allergens present. Other measures that were already in place include the provision of anti-allergen pillows, and that all the buildings are non-smoking. The Campus also operates a pet-free policy.
