Hosting board meetings: From high-tech to heritage
A look at your options for formal meetings at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre
Of the nine meeting rooms at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre, seven can be set up in boardroom layout, seating between eight and 30 people. Many have the technology to hold hybrid sessions, and delicious refreshments can be served to all of them at break times. Here we highlight a few of our rooms.
Grandest: Pompeiian Room
Seats up to: 18
The Pompeiian room is a breathtakingly impressive period room located in the Hall. Decorated in classical Roman style, a rare find in the UK, it is one of the reasons why Hinxton Hall is a Grade II* listed building and protected by legislation.
Largest and best for hybrid: Rosalind Franklin Pavilion
Seats up to: 30
The Rosalind Franklin Pavilion is located in the main Conference Centre, off the Event Space and can accommodate the largest boardroom meetings. The room has a hybrid event production system and a dedicated AV technician.
Best view: Barbara McClintock Pavilion
Seats up to: 18
The Barbara McClintock Pavilion opens up onto a walled orchard, which can be used during breaks in suitable weather.
Probably our most popular for board meetings: The Library
Seats up to: 12
In the style of an old billiard room, the Library is perfectly suited to smaller meetings.
Cosy: Lounges
Seats up to: 8
The lounges comprise two halves separated by a partition, so they can be used as one space or two separate rooms. These can be used for a variety of set-ups including small meetings.
Catering and refreshments
We have a range of catering options that can be booked for your meeting, designed for informality or an effective use of meeting time.
- Refreshment break: tea, coffee, fruit, and daily baked special
- For an early start: working breakfast rolls, working breakfast platters, breakfast pots
- For lunch: finger buffet lunch, working sandwich lunch, sharing platters – mezze, charcuterie, cheese
